Job summary

A leading university in the UK is looking for a Health & Safety Adviser (Maternity Cover) for a one-year fixed-term appointment. The role involves advising management on effective health & safety management, conducting safety inspections, and leading updates. Ideal candidates will have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and IOSH membership, with strong skills in attention to detail and Microsoft 365 applications. Qualifications

• Hold, or be willing to work toward, a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• Membership of IOSH (or similar organisation).
• Knowledge and understanding of best practice in Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience of using Microsoft 365 including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Implement University Health & Safety policy and lead updates.
• Review and update the School's Health & Safety risk register.
• Lead on safety inspections and audits and report results.
• Provide updates and advice in relation to operations and research.
