A transport and logistics company is seeking a Head of HR to lead and develop their HR function across the growing group of companies. This role involves both hands-on operational responsibilities and strategic input as the organization evolves. The successful candidate will manage HR policies, recruitment, employee relations, and oversee payroll functions, ensuring compliance with UK employment law. Candidates should have a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant HR experience.
We are seeking a Head of HR to lead and develop the HR function across our growing group of companies. This role is ideally suited to an experienced HR Manager who is ready to step into a broader, more influential position and grow into a strategic, group-level role over time.
Initially, the role will be hands‑on and operational, focused on building strong HR foundations, clear processes and trusted relationships with managers and employees across the group. As the business continues to evolve, the role will naturally progress to include greater strategic input, workforce planning and people‑led change.
You will have responsibility for HR across the group and will manage one direct report, who currently operates the payroll and provides HR administration and support to the business.
You will be an experienced HR professional who enjoys balancing operational delivery with the opportunity to influence and improve how a business approaches its people.
