ABOUT THE ROLE

Finisterre is recruiting its first Head of Financial Planning to support business growth through international expansion and new channel development. We are seeking a hands‑on Head of FP&A to strengthen forecasting, financial modelling, reporting, and performance visibility. This role will be instrumental in building a best‑in‑class FP&A function that enhances decision‑making and performance analysis across the business, playing a key role in the organisation’s continued success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and develop the FP&A function, enhancing forecasting accuracy, financial modelling, and visibility of business performance
  • Build and maintain scalable operational and financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision‑making
  • Design and own KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks, delivering a single source of truth for performance management
  • Leverage data analytics to drive performance tracking, profitability analysis, and robust business cases for new initiatives
  • Lead end‑to‑end business casing, tracking forecast versus actual ROI and embedding learnings into future investment decisions
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, department heads, and operational teams to provide clear financial insight and commercial challenge
  • Provide hands‑on financial leadership while maturing the FP&A capability, including coaching and developing the FP&A analyst
  • Implement improved systems, processes, and controls suitable for a fast‑moving, evolving organisation
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to deliver timely, accurate monthly management reporting, with clear and actionable performance commentary
  • Partner with commercial teams on pricing strategy and new‑market entry, providing rigorous financial diligence to support decisions
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FINISTERRE
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior FP&A leadership role, ideally within a high‑growth, fast‑paced environment
  • Deep financial modelling experience
  • Proven experience supporting both wholesale and direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) channels, with a strong understanding of their distinct financial drivers and performance metrics.
  • Exposure to PE‑backed environments and investor‑level reporting
  • Resourceful, creative, resilient and entirely flexible: thrives on positive change
  • Experience enhancing systems, reporting frameworks and data structures
  • Strong commercial acumen and cross‑functional partnering skills
  • Excellent self‑awareness, communication, networking and interpersonal skills
