The Head of IT - Divisional Capabilities for PR&C PS&P will be pivotal in supporting the definition, build and deployment of the supporting I&T strategy, and will be responsible for the development of new I&T functional andservice capabilities to realise this.The **Head of I&T - Divisional Capabilities** is the strategic interface between I&T and the key business functions in scope, supporting the division’s operations, i.e. Manufacturing, Paper Sourcing and Supply Chain, Quality, Operations Excellence, Health & Safety, Engineering and Sustainability. Acting as the single point of accountability for performance and delivery of I&T Service, Portfolio, Risk, and Budget within the above scope of capabilities. You will build strong relationships through proactive business engagement and be a valued and trusted partner to the divisional leaders in the areas in scope.You will report in directly into the I&T Director PR&C PS&P and will have a key role in the enablement of the business strategy and targets through I&T, Digital and Data. Ensuring that the Business objectives are understood and that the I&T strategy is aligned and underpins the delivery of the business strategy. Ensuring that the business has access to technology innovation and advisory both internally and externally, to achieve alignment and delivery of the portfolio and maximising value in support of the business strategy. You will have direct reporting lines of functional business partners analysis team, solution engineering team, divisional data engineering, and divisional application development. the role also owns the matrix leadership of project delivery, service and infrastructure teams, with the accountability to the business for I&T Service, Portfolio, Risk, and Budget.**Key responsibilities for the Head of Divisional IT Capabilities are:*** Build and sustain business relationships based on mutual trust and demonstrated value.* Identify key stakeholders within the PR&C PS&P business & Ops; define and execute relevant engagement plans.* The Head of I&T - Divisional Capabilities will ensure that the Business objectives are understood and that the I&T strategy is aligned, and underpins the delivery of the business strategy, across all functions, ie Manufacturing, Paper Sourcing and Supply Chain, Quality, Operations Excellence, Health & Safety, Engineering and Sustainability.* Influence, shape and prioritise the technology strategy and change roadmap.* The Head of I&T - Divisional Capabilities will own the IT portfolio and manage the demand for the respective functions in scope.* Ensure regular and timely updates on IT strategy and IT enabling portfolio initiatives into the business functions in scope.* Understand market challenges, including customer priorities and competition, and translate where I&T and Digital Innovation and Data can add value.* Ensuring that the business has access to effective and efficient technology services, along with the expertise to enable innovation and delivery of a value driven portfolio.* Responsible for ensuring that all I&T Risks within the business functions in scope are recorded and managed as part of the IT risk management process* Responsible for the preparation, alignment, and delivery of the IT budget for the area of responsibility* Work closely with the IT function to ensure services are managed and delivered to SLA and expectation.* Ownership of the functional specific technology delivery vendors, and application delivery teams, covering capabilities across area of responsibility, i.e. Manufacturing, Paper Sourcing and Supply Chain, Quality, Operations Excellence, Health & Safety, Engineering and Sustainability**About you*** Highly experienced in an IT Leadership Role as a Business Partner* Experience of IT Operations and Delivery of strategic Change and transformation programmes* Demonstrable experience in developing roadmaps and delivering Enterprise Solutions within the business areas of responsibility, ie Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain Planning & logistics.* Demonstrable experience in delivering Data solutions.* Desirable experience in Solution Design and Architecture domains or leading teams under those domains* Experience within Demand forecasting & planning, Integrated Business Planning will is desirable* Previous experience of working within a multinational matrix organisation within Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or FMCG sectors* Agile Delivery Experience* Degree or other relevant experienceWe are DS Smith, together with International Paper, we are a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions and other fibre-based products.We believe a better, more sustainable tomorrow is possible with the right people, who challenge and support one another to enact positive change.
