Job description
Overview

The Head of Club & Community Development is a key role in the Senior Management Team at basketballscotland. Leading an experienced team, the postholder will assume responsibility for supporting the development of our member clubs and the evolution of our social impact programmes.

Responsibilities

Key, early tasks for this role will be to develop and deliver a sector-leading National Club Development Strategy, including a development framework and education programme that meets the needs of Basketball Clubs in Scotland. In addition to this, drive an ambitious, innovative participation strategy that significantly increases involvement in basketball across all demographics, with a specific focus on our most underrepresented groups.

Collaboration and Stakeholders

The role is required to work closely and effectively with other departments across the organisation, and wider sporting network, and is pivotal in supporting the delivery of our work with CashBack for Communities, sportscotland, The Basketball Foundation, Easterhouse (Henosis) ltd, and other key partners.
