A housing association in Wales seeks a Head of Building Safety and Maintenance to lead a team providing critical services to tenants. The role requires significant experience in asset management and health and safety. Candidates should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, along with qualifications in health and safety or property management. The position offers a salary of £57,846 per annum. Working hours are 35 per week with 2 days remote work option. Closing date for applications is midnight, 2nd January 2026.

We currently look after more than 2,000 homes for single people, couples and families, including four developments specifically for older people and, with specialist partners, two refuges for those fleeing domestic abuse and supported homes for people with learning disabilities.
We are also home to two subsidiaries: Down to Zero, a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society that we established to expand our community-led environmental activities. And Cwm Taf Care & Repair, which helps older homeowners and private renters to live independently in their own homes.
Cynon Taf is a small organisation with big ambition. As part of our ongoing work to strengthen how we deliver for our tenants and communities, we are increasing leadership capacity within our Assets, Decarbonisation & Growth Directorate. We have created a brand-new post of Head of Building Safety and Maintenance. You will lead a small team who deliver critical safety and maintenance services to our tenants, including our in house trades team. We are looking for an experienced property professional who can bring knowledge and experience to our organisation, including from people who would like to take the next step in their career.
