Head Registered Veterinary Nurse – Middleton, Leeds

Harrison Family Vets are a family‑owned, independent group of growing clinics providing pet health care that is second to none.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, enthusiastic pet and people‑person to join our Middleton practice as Head Registered Veterinary Nurse. The role includes general RVN duties, managing the RVN and reception teams, conducting one‑to‑ones, team rota, and general administrative duties.

The position is based in a state‑of‑the‑art clinic with 5 consult rooms, separate dog, cat and exotics wards, and an innovative pod design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general RVN duties and oversee the RVN and reception team.
  • Conduct one‑to‑ones and manage team rota.
  • Handle general administrative duties.
  • Participate in general first‑opinion theatre work.
  • Support a pet‑centric, Fear Free practice.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven experience as an RVN.
  • Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with pets and people.
  • Knowledge of veterinary procedures and clinic operations.
Employment Details
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shift range 8.30‑04.30 or 11.00‑07.00; Saturday morning rota 8.30‑01.00.
  • Schedule 3 where applicable.
  • 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (Good Friday worked but day in lieu).
