As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. We are seeking an individual who shares our love for food, embraces creativity, and has exceptional culinary skills.
The Clog and Billycock, nestled in the picturesque village of Pleasington, is a true gem. When you step inside, you’re welcomed by open fires, cosy rugs, and original wooden and flagged stone floors. Our bar, at the heart of the pub, boasts an impressive selection of cask ales, malts, gins, and a curated list of around 50 wines to suit every palate.
Outside, our stunning terrace is a sun-soaked haven during summer, transforming into a covered seating area with an open fire during the cooler months.
Our menus change with the seasons, providing plenty of opportunity for our Head Chef to showcase their creativity and personal touch.

About you…
Our kitchens are dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume. You will have experience as a head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager, or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh food environment. You will be responsible for the food culture within your pub, working closely with the pub manager to drive the business forward, helping to formulate seasonal menus with our Executive Chefs. We seek a confident leader who nurtures their team and creates an inclusive, supportive environment. Excellent business acumen is essential to manage stock, GPs, and labour controls effectively.
