Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum plus tips

Novi is an independently owned, modern, vibrant, sophisticated and welcoming kitchen and bar, set in a magnificent three storey building in the heart of Cambridge. Our focus is on providing casual, communal and sociable dining. We serve a brunch menu during the day and small to medium modern British shareable plates in the evening, with a focus on our Japanese BBQ and in house smoker.

We are looking for a Head Chef to join our team.

Our offer to our new Chef:

  • £40,000 to 42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Equal split of service charge, additional £3,000 to £5,000 per annum.
  • 28 days holiday per year.
  • Average working week of 48 hours.
  • Company pension scheme.

What we look for in our new Chef:

Our ideal candidate would be an experienced Head Chef, or Senior Sous looking for career progression, with a strong restaurant background. We would like a dynamic self motivated Chef with a positive engaging attitude, who has a passion for fresh, seasonal produce and be interested in working for a local independent business.

  • You will be fully responsible for the kitchen.
  • Have experience championing excellent service through quality food.
  • Be an active hands-on team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability to design and deliver new dishes for our menus.
  • Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams.
