Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Barnsley is seeking an Occupational Therapist experienced in hand therapy. This role entails providing specialist therapy, managing patients autonomously, and working collaboratively within the team. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £20.80 – £25.71 per hour with flexible shift options through the NHS community. Qualifications

  • Extensive post graduate experience in a specialist area is required.
  • Experience in developing Orthopaedic services relating to physiotherapy is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist therapy within hand therapy out‑patients.
  • Assess, diagnose and treat patients with complex conditions.
  • Communicate sensitive clinical information effectively to patients.
  • Prioritise referrals and screen for serious pathology.

Skills

Excellent communication skills
Experience in splinting (static) of the hand
Advanced knowledge in Hand assessment and treatment
Organizational skills

Education

Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
Current Health Professions Council registration
