What will your day look like?

As a Growth Lead at VML MAP, you'll be at the forefront of our commercial efforts, driving strategic partnerships and securing new business. Your days will be dynamic and varied, focused on:

  • Driving Commercial Growth: Lead and support network conversations and pursuit targets, fostering strong relationships across the WPP/VML network and representing VML MAP's interests in client discussions.
  • Client Discovery & Solution Design: Independently lead discovery and scoping, translating client needs into compelling, actionable VML MAP solutions.
  • Crafting Winning Narratives: Develop joint value propositions and present cohesive VML MAP x client narratives and proposals, often leading smaller pitch presentations.
  • Opportunity Identification & Qualification: Proactively identify and qualify opportunities within the WPP/VML network with the Growth Enablement team.
  • Strategic & Commercial Approach: Define the strategic and commercial approach for opportunities, leading network and client conversations throughout the pursuit process.
  • Commercial & Delivery Ownership: Own financials, scope, and delivery, including budget estimations, SOW creation, commercial modelling, and P&L oversight to optimize outcomes.
  • Optimization & Standardization: Actively optimize and standardize pursuit and transition approaches, promoting VML MAP methodologies.
  • Strategic Connection: Act as a vital connector between network opportunities, client challenges, VML MAP capabilities, and internal delivery teams, ensuring all opportunities are strategically framed, commercially viable, and deliver measurable value.
  • Seamless Transition: Ensure successful handover of leads to onboarding or client teams.

  • The Broader Growth Enablement Team: Collaborating on expanding VML MAP's commercial footprint.
  • WPP/VML Network Partners & Clients: Building strong relationships and directly engaging with some of the world's most admired brands.
  • Internal Delivery Teams: Bridging opportunities with expert execution.
  • Leadership: Directly collaborating with the Global Head of Growth, Director of Growth & Partnerships, and other Growth Leads.
  • Ecosystem Partners: Leveraging your understanding of platforms like Adobe, Salesforce, and Braze.

  • Ability to identify business needs, recommend VML MAP approaches, and craft compelling pitch materials.
  • Deep understanding of VML MAP’s strategic priorities and ecosystem (VML/WPP, Adobe, Salesforce, Braze).
  • Skilled at identifying account growth and cross‑capability collaboration opportunities.
Leadership & Team Enablement:
  • Effective delegation, team capacity optimization, and promotion of VML MAP methodologies.
  • A natural collaborator fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Skills & Expertise:
Hard Skills:
  • Proficiency: Excel (trackers, estimations, commercial models), PowerPoint (decks, storytelling).
  • Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of partnership platforms.
  • Communication: Strong storytelling, presentation development, and structured project management.
  • VML MAP Expertise: Ability to build VML MAP narratives and approaches.
