Job summary

A transport and logistics company is seeking a Head of HR to lead and develop their HR function across the growing group of companies. This role involves both hands-on operational responsibilities and strategic input as the organization evolves. The successful candidate will manage HR policies, recruitment, employee relations, and oversee payroll functions, ensuring compliance with UK employment law. Candidates should have a degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant HR experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ relevant HR experience in a generalist role.
  • Confident advising and influencing managers at all levels.
  • Comfortable with operational delivery and solutions-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage HR policies in line with UK employment legislation.
  • Act as the primary HR adviser on employee relations and performance management.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes across the group.

Skills

CIPD Level 5 or higher
UK employment law knowledge
Strong communication skills
Experience in HR generalist role
