We are currently looking for 3 Group Architects. As a Group Architect, you will be a technical leader and a problem solver, with a “can-do” attitude, tackling complex technical challenges and driving solutions through effective team collaboration. Working with multiple product teams, you will define the target architecture for the entire domain – including the business, application, data, infrastructure, components and the cost.
You will support continuous conversational architecture governance by collaborating with many product teams within the domain to ensure that they understand the target architecture and that all technology changes in the domain are aligned to University strategy, policies and standards, as well as being aware of how new trends could help the teams solve challenging problems more effectively. You will be an active member of the wider architecture profession, mentoring and managing others in the support of shared learning.

However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. We’d expect this to be on average 1-2 times per week.
Following the initial review of applications submitted for this role, we will be in contact with some candidates to conduct an online screening call. The next stage in the process, should you be shortlisted, will be a face-to-face interview that will take place on-site at our Milton Keynes campus. We anticipate that these interviews will take place during the week commencing 19 January 2026.
