What is the job about?

As a Sustainability Business Account Manager, you will engage with new business contacts to assist companies of all sizes with their energy management and carbon reporting. You will promote sustainability practices and solutions, ensuring alignment with clients’ goals and providing tailored strategies to meet their needs.

Your responsibilities include conducting consultations to understand clients’ carbon and energy plans, analyzing current practices, and proposing improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs and emissions. This role requires a blend of business acumen, sustainability knowledge, and a passion for environmental impact.

What exactly will you do?
  • Prospect for new business via channels like cold calling and networking.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to understand their sustainability objectives.
  • Assess clients’ current sustainability practices.
  • Collaborate to deliver tailored energy efficiency and environmental solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of sustainable energy projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for project execution.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients, driving growth.
  • Successfully onboard new clients.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in account management, business development, or sales.
  • Knowledge of sustainable energy practices and efficiency strategies.
  • Experience working towards targets and KPIs.
  • Cold calling experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with large commercial clients.
  • Track record of delivering excellent customer support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, pragmatic, and deadline-oriented.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Understanding of the commercial energy market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
