What you'll be doing

As a Graduate Materials Engineer imagine yourself as the quality expert for construction materials. You’ll work directly with materials like earthworks, concrete, and aggregates — testing, analysing, and ensuring they meet the highest standards. You’ll work in a mixture of lab, office and on-site environment, gaining skills in testing techniques, safety protocols, and quality control.

Who we're looking for

For Graduates with a degree in Geology, Geography or similar Earth Sciences subject.

Our programme offers formal training and on-the-job learning, with a strong focus on career progression and growth opportunities. It’s designed to help you transition into your chosen field and build a successful career path.

This role involves regular site-based visits, including travel on-site and between locations. Before joining Balfour Beatty, you must hold a full UK driver's license.
