Overview

Sweco is seeking applicants for the November 2026 cohort of our Early Careers Graduate Scheme. Graduate Engineer (Civil Structures) role in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities
  • Support a wide variety of bridge and other structures projects in the Highways, Energy and Active Travels sectors.
  • Undertake inspections and prepare technical outputs including calculations, drawings, sketches and reports.
  • Take ownership of the quality of work produced, delivering in line with agreed timescales and ensuring compliance with the Company Integrated Management System and health and safety legislation.
  • Learn from experienced colleagues with opportunities to work more independently as you develop.
Qualifications
  • Have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Have less than 12 months of relevant work experience (excluding placements).
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).
  • Driven, proactive, and solution-oriented.
