Job summary

A leading construction company in Manchester is looking for Graduate Civil Engineers to join their team. This position offers a robust development program aimed at providing essential skills and experience in civil engineering. Ideal candidates will have a minimum 2:1 degree in Civil Engineering and possess strong communication and teamwork skills. The role entails assisting in various electrical systems for projects, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining essential records. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are crucial.

Qualifications

  • No more than 12 months work experience required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic about Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in specification, procurement, implementation of electrical systems.
  • Coordinate electrical distribution systems across construction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with safe systems of work.
  • Conduct electrical commissioning and fault-finding.
  • Maintain records of inspections and maintenance.
  • Support management of subcontractors undertaking electrical works.

Role Requirements:
  • Assistingin specification, procurement, implementation and safe operations of allelectrical systems required for project delivery
  • Coordinateelectrical distribution systems requirements across all relevantconstruction sites.
  • Enablingcompliance with safe systems of works
  • Ensuringelectrical commissioning and fault-finding on relevant machinery andequipment
  • EnsuringMSVs electrical commissioning and fault-finding
  • Maintainall records of inspections and maintenance (planned & unplanned)
  • Participating& supporting in implementation of a planned preventative maintenancescheme and oversee the spare parts management, including the correct stocklevel of electrical consumables, etc.
  • Supportin the management of specialist subcontractors undertaking electricalworks on site
  • Supportingin implementation of the electrical operating safety procedures, includingsafe systems of work, risk assessments & method statements and taskbriefings associated with electrical distribution
