Job summary

A multidisciplinary environmental consultancy located in Bedford is seeking an enthusiastic graduate or early-career ecologist. This position offers hybrid working, where the successful candidate will undertake Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, conduct protected species surveys, and prepare detailed technical reports. Ideal for someone passionate about ecology with a degree and willing to learn. Mentorship and career development opportunities are provided along with competitive benefits including 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

  • At least qualifying membership of CIEEM or working towards it.
  • A degree in a relevant discipline is required.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills for collaboration.
  • Attention to detail in writing skills is essential.
  • Driving licence and access to a car are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals.
  • Perform protected species surveys and assessments.
  • Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
  • Contribute to biodiversity calculations.
  • Engage in on-the-job training in ecology.
