A leading fusion energy organization in the UK seeks a Graduate Applied Materials Technologist to support its mission in providing material property data for future fusion plants. Responsibilities include assisting with research projects, disseminating findings, and enhancing professional skills through a dedicated training program. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Science or Engineering from 2024 or 2025, be proficient in Microsoft applications, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. As a Graduate Applied Materials Technologist, you will support the Applied Materials Technology Group in its mission to become the global leader in providing validated material property data and the associated R&D technologies needed for current and future fusion plants. This aligns with the wider vision of the Fusion Technology Division to enable the development and qualification of fusion device components for deployment in commercial fusion power plants.
As part of the 20% dedicated to training and development, you will complete a core suite of activities aimed at enhancing your professional and business skills, with flexibility to tailor the programme to both your personal development and the needs of your specific role.
