An educational organization in Wales is seeking passionate Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to provide dedicated support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). This role will involve working one-to-one with a pupil who has an Individual Development Plan (IDP) in a supportive learning resource center. Candidates should have a forward-thinking approach and be willing to engage with students across age groups 3-16. This position is open-ended based on funding and emphasizes collaboration with teaching staff to ensure effective learning environments.
Grade 3 – £24,796 pro rata for 30 hours per week term‑time only for 45.8 weeks per annum, equating to £17,660.20 pro rata, rising to 46.8 weeks, £18,045.79 pro rata per annum after 5 years’ service.

Ysgol Penrhyn Dewi VA is a 3‑16 Church in Wales school that serves the historic city of St. Davids and its surrounding areas. Based in the picturesque Pembrokeshire National Park, the school provides a caring, inclusive and welcoming environment where all stakeholders are proud of the Christian and community ethos. The school has strong links with the local community, where there are extensive opportunities for outdoor activities, and a busy all‑year calendar of social and cultural events.
The school is looking to appoint forward‑thinking and innovative LSAs with a passion for working with pupils with ALN. This role involves working on a one‑to‑one basis with a pupil who has an IDP. It is based within the secondary LRC, however applications are welcome from colleagues who have worked in primary or secondary settings and who are willing to work on occasion throughout the 3‑16 age range. Supported by the Lead Teachers and HLTAs, you will work collaboratively with the primary and secondary LRC to ensure best practice across the school provision.

This post is open‑ended, linked to the continuation of the 1‑1 funding for the child who is being supported in the LRC – it will continue while the child is on the school role and will cease when the child leaves the school.
