A dedicated GP practice in Hatfield is seeking an experienced NVQ 2 level dispenser to cover maternity leave for 1 year, potentially longer. The role, offering 30 hours per week over 4 days, includes processing prescriptions, managing patient inquiries, and ensuring smooth dispensary operations. Qualifications

• You will have a NVQ Level 2 Dispensary or equivalent pharmacy services qualification.
• Excellent clinical and medication knowledge.
• Understanding and experience of working as a dispenser in GP practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Process all relevant prescriptions and repeat prescriptions.
• Pick and check prescriptions in line with our SOPs.
• Collect all due prescription charges and ensure that the patient declaration is duly filled in and signed by the patient.
• Answer and deal with dispensary phone enquiries.
• Liaise with patients on a daily basis.
• Sort and dispose of unwanted/returned medication.
• Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the dispensary and surgery.
