About the role

This position sits within Convatec’s Global Quality and Operations function, specifically in the Global Supply Chain team, which encompasses demand and supply planning, logistics, and customer service. The role is responsible for managing the demand planning process for designated business units, geographies, and product portfolios, covering short-, medium-, and long-term planning horizons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the commercial organization to align demand with business plans and targets.
  • Translate market requirements into actionable demand signals.
  • Manage inventory levels and drive market-level S&OP processes.
  • Build trusting relationships with stakeholders and anticipate future needs.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting tools and performance metrics.
  • Serve as the primary Supply Chain point of contact for designated markets.
  • Monitor and publish performance metrics and reports, including business-unit dashboards.
  • Own inventory strategy, ensuring rightsizing and efficiency of finished- goods inventory.
  • Review excess inventory and obsolescence and collaborate with commercial and financial teams.
  • Identify areas for improved service and inventory efficiency and adjust SAP parameters.
  • Manage product portfolio, coordinate new launches and end-of-life activities, ensuring system alignment.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, cost-saving initiatives, and backup other planners when required.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven background in Demand Planning/S&OP leadership at market or regional level.
  • Experience with SAP and IBP modules (transactions and reports).
  • Global experience, preferably in healthcare (Medical Device or Pharma).
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Critical thinking and process orientation.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently on complex issues.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines and prioritize.
Qualifications / Education
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum (preferably in demand planning, supply chain, or operations management).
  • Experience in SAP IBP is a must; experience in SAP4HANA highly preferred.
  • APICS Certification (CPIM or CSCP) highly preferred.
Travel Requirements
  • Up to 15% travel; international travel possible; majority of trips include overnight travel.
Working Conditions
  • Based in Deeside or London with a hybrid working structure.
Special Factors
  • Requires coordination across multiple global functions and time zones.
  • Standard hours Monday-Friday; flexibility may be required on weekends.
