Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Bradford's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for a 12 month fixed term contract. We are seeking to recruit a professionally qualified practitioner to further develop and grow our community CAMHS team service.

You will be working in a community based multi‑disciplinary team delivering a service to children, young people and their families in a supportive and lively team, where differences in training are respected and valued. You will have the opportunity to play a significant role in the leadership delivery of a modernised and comprehensive service.

The post requires enthusiastic and self‑motivated individuals who are willing to make a real change. Do you have a ‘can do’ attitude and are you quality focused? Are you enthusiastic, motivated and ready for a challenge, possess excellent communication and organisational skills?

Qualifications

We would welcome applications from newly qualified Social Workers (supported by the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)) and Nurses (supported through the Preceptorship Programme).

Responsibilities
  • To contribute to the process of triaging children and young people who are referred into the service, with complex mental health needs. This will include assessing, planning and delivering care under the supervision and clinical leadership of a senior nurse and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • To take part in the provision of a community based treatment service, as an alternative to inpatient care, for children and young people, their families and carers.
