A local charity organization in Ashford is seeking volunteers to assist with children's workshops. The role involves interacting with children during breaks and preparing activities. Volunteers will receive mileage reimbursement and free training. Commitment is at least 4 days a year on weekends, from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Make a positive impact on children's lives while enjoying a supportive team environment.
Helping to prepare for the next activitiy on a childrens workshop. Paints, outdoor play, laminating.
This role is working alongside the Clinical Lead, Programme Assistant and two Group Leaders. Duties would be watching and interacting with the children during their morning and lunch time breaks ie. kicking a football outside with them, building lego etc. Laminating certificates, making anger batons out of newspaper, filling jars with salt, washing up paint pots, laying out candles etc. We will pay 40pence per mile to cover your travel expenses. We will provide training (Safeguarding Children). We will pay for your DBS check and provide you with a branded t-shirt.
UK Driving Licence
No skills required, you will be paired up with another helper and will be happy to help out with preparing any activities for the children.
You will be making a difference to a bereaved child by helping the day run smoothly and also get to be part of a really friendly team where you will meet new people. We pay mileage, provide food and refreshments and provide any free training you need.
Either a Saturday or a Sunday. We ask that you can commit to the charity for at least 4 days a year or you can do more days than that if you would prefer. Hours would be 10am til 4.30pm.
