Job Title

General Assistant (Cleaner)

20‑hour‑per‑week role, perfect for someone detail‑oriented, reliable, and passionate about making a difference in the member experience.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carrying out thorough cleaning of all areas including gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers, and communal spaces.
  • Sanitising and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Emptying bins, replacing liners, and following waste disposal procedures.
  • Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low.
  • Working alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience.
  • Reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Upholding Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
  • Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not essential – full training provided.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling (training provided if needed).
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • A good communicator and team player.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends in line with gym opening hours.
