Job description

Kori Construction is a multi-award-winning main contractor, and one of the fastest growing construction companies in the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for a Gateman to join our project team in the Highgate area of Haringey.

As a Gateman/Banksman, you will control site access, monitor deliveries and ensure all visitors and vehicles are logged correctly. You will be responsible for maintaining security on site, facilitating the movement of vehicles and preserving public traffic routes.

You will be required to work as part of a larger team to support the successful delivery of the construction project.

The role is expected to last 18-24 months.

Duties

• Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the site
• Control vehicle movements
• Guide deliveries and visitors around the site without causing damage or accidents
• Maintain a clean and organised gate area
• Create clear routes for entrance and exit to ease movement in and out of the site
• Ensure vehicles exiting site do not cause traffic disruption on the public highway
• Ensuring pedestrian safety ensuring vehicle pathways do not pose a danger to pedestrians on the road
• Guide pedestrians out of harms way when heavy vehicles turn
• Maintain accurate gate logs and delivery records
• Liaise with site management team
• Follow all health, safety and security procedures
• Previous experience as a Gateman or construction site experience
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Ability to work independently
• You will need your own PPE (hard hat, safety footwear and high visibility vest)
• Valid CSCS Card and Traffic Marshal certification, although Level 1 Health and Safety Qualification, CSCS card and Traffic Marshal certification can be funded for the right candidate

You will be based at the Kori Construction Limited project at 44-46 Hampstead Lane, Highgate, London N6 4LL.
