A leading charity organization in Camberley is seeking a Gardening Volunteer to help maintain and improve garden spaces in residential homes for people with learning disabilities. No expert skills are required; just some gardening experience and the ability to work independently. This is a unique chance to give back to the community while developing your skills and supporting others.
Mencap runs and manages homes across the UK for people with a learning disability, many of which have outdoor spaces that need maintaining. These are important spaces for the people we support to get outdoors and interact with nature, and each other. Your time and skills as a Gardening Volunteer will make a big difference to these people enjoying this special space.
We need a volunteer to come and help with maintaining and improving the garden in one of our residential care homes in Camberley. The garden is medium sized, and would benefit from having a volunteer come to help us out once or twice a month - any day of the week or time is ok!
As a volunteer, you wouldn't need to be an expert gardener, but you will need some gardening experience and be able to work independently to keep the garden tidy.
