Job Title

Job Description

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Games Developer to join our Warhammer studio design team. Rules describe the most exciting aspect of the models we sell. In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing tabletop rules for Warhammer Quest games.

With a deep understanding of the intricacies of co-op game systems and a desire to shape the future of the game, you’ll be responsible for the development of new rules content. You’ll need to make sure the rules you write are fun, evocative and accessible, and don’t have loopholes. We’ll look to you to proactively reach out to external play test groups and ensure feedback is sourced from the play test groups and peers, as well as your own observations.

To keep your creative juices flowing, you will also be working alongside the other members of the Games Development team to create new rules content for Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar Quest publications.

Collaboration is key in this role as you’ll work closely with key members in the project team to ensure background writing, photography, rules, art and layout all complement each other in the most way. We’ll look to you to act as a representative of Warhammer Quest, and be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of all Warhammer Quest products.

If you’re a passionate and experienced Warhammer Quest player and are looking for an opportunity to help support the development of the rules for Warhammer Quest for all players, we’d love to hear from you!

Working at Games Workshop

At Games Workshop we are looking for people who will do their best to understand the needs of the company and to put those needs first when they are at work. Because of this we believe that what you are like, hence the attitude you show to work and the way you choose to behave is even more important than your skills and experience.

The Warhammer World site is based just outside of Nottingham city centre and benefits from a nearby tram stop and free onsite car parking.

In return for your hard work, you will receive 33 days holiday per year (including public holidays), matching contributory pension scheme up to 7.5%, profit share bonus (subject to GW meeting profit targets) and option to join our Share Save scheme. Oh and let’s not forget, a staff discount of between 25% and 50% on our products!
