Our fundraising events organisers have the exciting and varied role of helping plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise the vital funds needed to help our feline friends.
What difference will you make?
As a Fundraising Events Organiser, you will play a key role in coordinating, motivating and supporting local volunteers in raising those all-important funds. Cats in our care rely on generous donations from people who love cats and count on volunteers like you to make those donations happen. You will lead volunteers in a variety of fundraising events and activities raising much needed funds for cats in your area.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a friendly, proactive, and organised person to help lead our fundraising efforts and support Cats Protection’s vital work in caring for and rehoming cats in need. As a Fundraising Organiser, you’ll play an important role in helping us raise the funds that keep our local branch running — from food and veterinary care to rescue equipment and community outreach.
Our ideal volunteer is someone who enjoys bringing people together, has great communication skills, and feels confident reaching out to others — whether that’s chatting with local businesses, engaging with supporters at events, or promoting activities online. You’ll be comfortable representing Cats Protection in your community, sharing our mission with warmth and enthusiasm.
Being organised and reliable is key to this role. You’ll help plan, coordinate, and run a range of fundraising activities — from raffles and bake sales to online campaigns and larger community events. Experience in fundraising or event planning is essential. What matters most is your initiative, creativity, and willingness to learn.
You’ll also need some basic IT and social media skills to help promote events, keep simple records, and communicate with other volunteers. We’ll provide guidance and support every step of the way, as well as plenty of flexibility so you can volunteer around your own commitments.
If you’re someone who enjoys planning, likes meeting new people, and wants to make a real difference for cats and kittens, this could be a perfect opportunity. You’ll be joining a passionate team of fellow volunteers who share your love of animals and your desire to make positive change in the community.
Most importantly, you’ll be helping to ensure that every cat gets the care, attention, and second chance they deserve.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and levels of experience. If you have enthusiasm, good organisational skills, and a genuine affection for cats, we’d love to hear from you.
