CRESCO Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and staff and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, safer recruitment checks and satisfactory references.

We are looking for a Clerk, Compliance Officer and Governance Professional to join our team and work across the four schools in our trust and support a fifth school as it undertakes the conversion process. You’ll be integral to the smooth operation and administration of our Trust Board and Local Governing Bodies, as well as working closely with our CEO, Headteachers and Chairs.

Although we are currently a trust of 4 schools, we are hoping that a fifth school will join us within the next 12 months and the successful applicant will have clerking responsibility for this school throughout the conversion period.

We are looking for someone who will bring their governance expertise to the role, as well as their exceptional organisation and administrative skills, to ensure the effective and efficient running of the governance processes across our trust and its schools.

You will be working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, which places the needs of our pupils at the heart of everything we do.

This is a hybrid part time role, with travel involved across all our trust schools in the Basildon area, but also regular opportunity for remote working. All of our Local Governing Body meetings take place face to face, with the majority of these being out of school hours 5.30-7.30pm approximately.

Our Trust Board meetings are a mixture of face to face and online meetings with similar timings to our local governing bodies. During the school year this equates to approximately 45 meetings across 5 schools and central trust.

For further information about the role and/or to arrange an informal visit, please contact Damian Pye (our trust CEO) on 01268 544709 or email us at hr@greatberry.essex.sch.uk.
