Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. Our Responder service in Oban is all about being there when it matters most. We respond to Telecare Alarms in cases such as a fall, ensuring people receive the right support at the right time. But our commitment doesn’t end there. We go the extra mile by checking in on people later in the day or during the night. This person‑centred approach ensures that people not only receive immediate assistance but also have peace of mind and comfort in their own homes.

About the Role

As a Support Practitioner (Responder), your role will involve conducting dynamic risk assessments, screening needs through effective communication and working proactively to prevent hospital admissions. While you may be working independently, you won’t be alone; our close‑knit team offers support and ensures continuity of care for the people we support.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for caring people who have a genuine passion for making a positive impact in their community, can stay calm under pressure, and communicate clearly and compassionately with others.

You do not need professional experience to join us. We provide comprehensive induction training, including the use of an ELK Lifting Cushion to all new team members.

A full driving licence is essential for this role, with a company car provided while on shift.
