Job Purpose
To produce and lead on a wide range of creative design projects which have a high visual impact and help drive income and attendance through all our sites and our local communities. You will also be the gatekeeper for the Brio brand, ensuring this is reflected across all offline and online spaces.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the development of initial concepts and use creative design to produce material, both digital and offline.
- Work alongside the Content & Campaigns Manager to develop the design process from project proposals and requests to typesetting through to design, print and production, for online and offline campaigns.
- Support and manage the Creative Designer role, leading their personal development, scheduling their workload and directing material production.
- Liaise with colleagues regarding design style, format, print production, and cost while working to deadlines and specific project time scales.
- Collaborate with the Content & Campaigns Manager to establish a cost for each project, ensuring the department stays within budget.
- Advise on and produce a range of digital and print material, ensuring a clear understanding of the purpose and target audience of the material.
- Develop and support other members of the department to create interactive media, including illustrations, animations and video.
- Design and develop engaging and innovative digital campaigns across website, social media, app and email newsletters.
- Lead the design and production of ad‑hoc graphics for internal and external use, such as PowerPoint presentations and signage.
- Use design software such as Adobe, Figma.
- Apply the Company brand guidelines to all marketing and promotional material.
- Embrace digital design best practices, including wireframes for websites promoting UX and clear calls‑to‑action to drive business objectives.
- Provide high standards of customer care at all times in accordance with agreed standards/procedures.
- Carry out any other relevant duties as required, within the scope of the post and the Marketing Team.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Creative Design.
- Two years’ experience of working in a creative design role.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and digital design systems such as Figma.
- Comfortable using both Mac and PC.
- Experience in branding and ability to illustrate and create organic designs.
- Knowledge of digital and print marketing.
Job Related Knowledge
- Knowledge in typography, layout and image manipulation.
- Ability to understand and interpret a wide range of briefs covering all areas of the Company.
- Ability to support and nurture other team members on design and branding.
Skills And Aptitudes
- Produce initial concepts through to the creative design and production of a range of marketing material.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail around design, content, and layout.
- Ability to work on multiple concepts, under pressure, whilst meeting strict deadlines.
- Well organised and self‑motivated.
- Plan, schedule and timetable workloads effectively.
- Work as part of a team, sharing ideas, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel throughout Cheshire West and Chester.
- Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
