If you’re a world-class WordPress developer with PHP and REACT experience looking to make an impact, then you’re probably who we’re looking for.

If you get excited working on innovative solutions to modern WordPress problems, this could be the perfect job for you.

Ideally, you’ll know PHP like the back of your hand, be proficient in Javascript and REACT. You’ll be equally as content hooking up UI in the front end as you are working on meaty problems in the backend.

We’re looking for someone who wants to work full time hours however, if you’re the superstar we’re looking for, we can be flexible.

Burst Statistics are based in the Netherlandsbut we can offer a fully remote role to the right candidate worldwide.

The daily responsibilities:

If you’re an ambitious and highly competent Web Developer with PHP, REACT, JS and WordPress experience then keep reading.

We’re building the future of Burst Statistics, a privacy-friendly analytics plugin for WordPress. Our plugin helps users track their website traffic without collecting personal data — so they stay in control.

It’s simple, lightweight, and runs entirely on their own server. No third-party tracking, no complicated setup, and no data leaving their site.

Joining as the 4th member of Burst Statistics, you’ll be a self-starter with effective and responsive communication. Working alongside the original founders, you’ll be developing new features and additions for our product roadmap.

  • Collaborate with others on our codebase to implement new features, bug fixes and improvements
  • Work in JavaScript, PHP, REACT, and WordPress libraries to write clean, efficient and secure code
  • Write inline documentation for your codeTest and produce testing guides for your code
  • Manage your own time to fulfil your tasks
  • Research / debug problems on your own or in collaboration with other developers and our support team

Your exact responsibilities will depend on your experience.

Required skills:
  1. JavaScript & REACT – an essential part of Burst Statistics.
  2. PHP –the core language of WordPress and strong skills in this area is essential.
  3. WordPress plugin development or solutions built around WordPress.
Nice-to-have skills:
  1. GitHub / GitLab / Git experience – nice to have, but can be learnt quickly by good developers used to alternatives like SVN.
  2. Experience prefetching data and optimizing plugin performance.
  3. A solid understanding of mySQL.
  4. An interest in Data & Data Visualization.
