Job description

To be responsible for the installation service and trouble shoot a range of refrigeration systems in commercial vehicles. You will also provide guidance and support to the Junior Refrigeration Engineers throughout their training programme.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Experience

F Gas Qualified

Previous experience of working in a fast-paced engineering / manufacturing organisation

Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the business

Experience in fitting GAH, Carrier, ThermoKing, Hubbard fridges (desirable)

Ability to read and work from technical drawings

Experience of fault diagnosis

Responsibilities

Inspect, service and diagnose a range of refrigeration systems.

Repair and replace refrigeration components, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.

Have knowledge in re-charging refrigeration systems and ensuring proper pressure and cooling levels.

Lead installation of new refrigeration systems in vehicles.Create and maintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, and repairs performed.

Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Assist and maintain an accurate stock and learn to order necessary parts and equipment for repairs and servicing.

Support team members and customers to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.

Provide clear explanations of work performed and any necessary follow-up actions to the wider team

Follow all SOP’s and quality control measures
