Location: Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, England

Hours: Full-time

Duration: Permanent

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for multiple experienced Forklift Drivers with the following licences: VNA Drivers, Counterbalance, PPT Licence and Aisle Masters to join our team providing a first-class service in Biggleswade. The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate receipt of customer goods into the warehouse, and timely despatch of customer goods from the warehouse to external parties. The role requirements are to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately, and as efficiently as possible upholding and the highest standards of health and safety at all times.

Shifts Available
  • 4 On/4 Off Days - 06:00-18:00 - 20 Days Holiday Per Annum
  • 4 On/4 Off Nights - 18:00-06:00 - 20 Days Holiday Per Annum
  • Any 5 of 7 Days - 8 Hours Per Shift (7.5 Paid/30 Minutes Break) - 28 Days Holiday Per Annum inclusive of Bank Holidays
  • Any 5 of 7 Nights - 8 Hours Per Shift (7.5 Paid/30 Minutes Break) - 28 Days Holiday Per Annum inclusive of Bank Holidays

  • Salary: £27,445.46 Per Annum/ £14.07 Per Hour to £30,826.74 Per Annum/ £15.35 Per Hour (Dependent on Licence and Shift Patterns)

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proven experience in warehouse management systems (WMS) and materials handling procedures.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is highly desirable; relevant certifications will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor repairs on vehicles or equipment.
  • Experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks.
  • Good understanding of basic maths for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation purposes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with solid warehouse experience to contribute to a dynamic logistics team. Applicants should possess a proactive attitude towards safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in all aspects of their work.
  • Stock rotation and consolidation
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest of standards, working in partnership direct with the customer
  • Adhering to Warehouse/Plant H&S rules at all time
  • Operating a ‘clean as you go’ policy to ensure the warehouse is free of excess debris, pests etc.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety rules at all times
  • Carrying out any other reasonable request made by Supervisor/Manager
Experience and Qualifications Required
  • Experience operating a VNA, Counterbalance, PPT licence & Aisle Masters
  • Previous warehouse experience (ideally within the food and/or beverage industry, but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills, be a team player
  • Be proactive, use initiative
  • Good organisational and time management skills
