Forklift Drivers: VNA Driver, Counterbalance, PPT Licence, Aisle Masters

Menzies Distribution Solutions are looking for multiple experienced forklift drivers to join our team in Biggleswade. The main purpose of this role is to provide accurate receipt of customer goods into the warehouse, and timely despatch of customer goods from the warehouse to external parties.

**For your application to be considered, you must hold a minimum of one of the following licences: VNA, Counterbalance, PPT licence, and Aisle Masters.**

Shifts Available
  • 4 On/4 Off Days – 06:00-18:00 – 20 Days Holiday Per Annum
  • 4 On/4 Off Nights – 18:00-06:00 – 20 Days Holiday Per Annum
  • Any 5 of 7 Days – 8 Hours Per Shift (7.5 Hours Paid + 30 Minutes Break) – 28 Days Holiday Per Annum inclusive of Bank Holidays
  • Any 5 of 7 Nights – 8 Hours Per Shift (7.5 Hours Paid + 30 Minutes Break) – 28 Days Holiday Per Annum inclusive of Bank Holidays

  • Salary: £27,445.46 Per Annum / £14.07 Per Hour to £30,826.74 Per Annum / £15.35 Per Hour (Dependent on Licence and Shift Patterns)

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Proven experience in warehouse management systems (WMS) and materials handling procedures.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is highly desirable; relevant certifications will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor repairs on vehicles or equipment.
  • Experience in shipping & receiving operations within a warehouse environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks.
  • Good understanding of basic maths for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation purposes.
  • Stock rotation and consolidation.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest of standards, working in partnership directly with the customer.
  • Adhering to Warehouse/Plant H&S rules at all times.
  • Operating a ‘clean as you go’ policy to keep the warehouse free of excess debris, pests, etc.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable request made by Supervisor/Manager.
Experience and Qualifications Required
  • Experience operating a VNA, Counterbalance, PPT licence & Aisle Masters.
  • An in-date, accredited FLT license (RTITB, ITSARR, AITT etc.).
  • Previous warehouse experience (ideally within the food and/or beverage industry, but not essential).
