We’re not looking for people who sit down and say “that’ll do”. We are interested in a motivated individual who can bring enthusiasm and personality and who is looking to gain experience in an administrative role, with the opportunity to grow both the role and duties over time. Reporting into the Support Manager, you will have day to day ownership of a number of key areas crucial to the running of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to all plumbing, heating and ventilation, hot & cold water mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work carried out and report any substandard or defective equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
  • Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
  • Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required.
  • All work to be carried out to the relevant trade standards.
  • Ensure Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times.
  • Undertake duties, as required, that contribute to the effective operation of the prison.
  • Work in accordance with CubicWorks policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Must have served a recognised apprenticeship and obtained Level 3 City & Guilds 6035 / NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing.
  • Completed ACOP L8 in Legionella awareness and have previous experience in an AP role.
  • Have a proactive approach to Health and Safety.
  • Ability to perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard without constant supervision.
  • Proactive, systematic approach to tasks.
  • Experience maintaining a range of equipment.
  • Willingness to tackle a wide range of day-to-day activities, from complex to simple tasks without standing on ceremony.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
Other Duties
  • Working with other trade disciplines as part of a multi-skilled team.
  • Working overtime as and when necessary at the company’s discretion.
  • Supervising apprentices when assigned to work alongside them.
  • Managing & logging work activities using the company’s management software on a mobile device (FSI Go).
