Job description
Overview

Flying Start Childcare Manager to lead the Flying Start Childcare Team and delivery of the Flying Start 2 yr old childcare offer in Wrexham.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is passionate and experienced and looking to make a real difference to the lives of children. The successful applicant will develop and support childcare provision in collaboration with a range of teams across the early years and childcare sector.

Responsibilities
  • Lead between the local authority, Early Years partners, frontline practitioners as well as childcare settings, in relation to the delivery of Flying Start 2yr old childcare.
  • Work closely with the Flying Start Service Coordinator to help shape and drive the strategic direction of the Flying Start Childcare provision.
  • Lead and manage a team of Advisory Teachers, Childcare Officers, Admissions Officer and Business Support Assistants, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to ensure high quality and inclusive Flying Start childcare provision and share goals of policy and practice leading towards improved outcomes for children, representing Flying Start Childcare and its key role in these developments.
