Job Title

Fleet Servicing Senior Technician

Job Summary

Full‑time, permanent, start immediately. The Fleet Servicing Senior Technician will report to the SOV Manager and lead the technical delivery of scheduled maintenance on wind turbines at Nordsee‑Ost, Kaskasi, Greater Gabbard and London Array. Travel every 14 days to ports in the UK and Germany; local visas required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the focal point of contact for all technical issues while the teams are working, work closely with the site teams to manage any technical issues and feedback any Non‑Conformance reports.
  • Write and approve technical documentation such as RAMS, AWP’s, EIP’s and Method Statements. Act as the Authorising Engineer under the WTSR and support the teams with documentation queries while out in the field.
  • Create a suite of troubleshooting guides to be used by the maintenance teams within the Fleet Servicing team, agree parts and consumables to be maintained onboard the vessel.
  • Work closely with the Operations Coordinator to create and understand the maintenance plan and monitor progress of works carried out in their absence. Support the Store's Manager to ensure that all tooling, parts and equipment is available for the teams.
  • In the absence of the SOV Operations Coordinator, set the offshore teams to work, creating and presenting the set to work brief and monitoring progress throughout the day.
  • Use the SCADA system to monitor windfarm and start/stop turbines when needed with prior agreement from the operational sites.
  • Review the work performed by the Maintenance teams and ensure compliance with established Quality standards, reviewing all completed documentation prior to submitting to the operational sites.
  • Carry out regular reviews of technical documentation for sites and ensure the team are always working with the most recent documentation.
Role Requirements and Experience
  • Deep and specialised technical knowledge and experience within the Wind Turbine industry.
  • Be an Authorising Engineer or be close to becoming one, minimum working at Authorised Technician level.
  • Effective leadership and coordination skills, motivated and pragmatic in approach.
  • Proficient communication skills, able to communicate effectively within a team.
  • A thorough understanding of offshore operational practices and WTG servicing on Siemens 3.6 and a willingness to learn other Turbine types.
  • A higher education qualification or extensive experience working within the offshore wind industry.
Advantageous but not essential
  • High level safety qualifications such as NEBOSH.
