Job description

Location: 38 Preston Street, Faversham, Kent

Reports to: Director

Salary: Commensurate with experience option of overtime at standard rate.

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours Monday to Friday7am to 3.30 pm.

Role Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the upkeep and preventive maintenance of all company and client vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. This role will also involve hands‑on technical work, including coachbuilding and electrical systems with in the buses, with a focus on inverter systems and related components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the maintenance of all vehicles in the fleet, including client vehicles.
  • Implement and maintain defect reporting systems and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to high standards, with proper documentation.
  • Perform coachbuilding tasks and electrical repairs, focusing on inverter systems and other electrical components.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior to improve productivity and speed.
  • Collaborate effectively with operations team members.
  • Support operational growth by recording and optimising preventive maintenance activities.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations in your sector
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and inverter technology.
  • Ability to perform coachbuilding and bodywork repairs.
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
  • Leadership ability to manage and motivate team members.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Drivers Licence - HGV and or PSV will be an advantage
Additional Information
  • This role falls under the Operations Cost Centre, which offers strong growth potential.
  • Services provided by this role must be daily time sheeted
  • Flexibility to adapt responsibilities as the business evolves.
  • Flexible to work from Dunkirk
