Job summary

A community-focused sports organization in Middleton is seeking a Fitness Coach. The role involves providing quality service to customers, lifeguarding, supervising poolside, and teaching group exercise classes. Ideal candidates will have a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification and strong customer service skills. This position offers a salary of £24,310 per annum (pro-rata for part-time hours).

Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of dealing with customers and working in a gym environment.
  • Hold Emergency First Aid or demonstrate commitment to achieve within 3-6 months.
  • Recognised Group Exercise Class Qualification or demonstrate commitment to achieve within 3-6 months.
  • Confidence and ability to teach high quality group exercise classes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, efficient service to customers.
  • Lifeguard and supervise poolside activities.
  • Prepare and dismantle equipment for functions and events.

What’s in it for me?

As a Fitness Coach we can offer you:

  • Salary: Band 2, £24,310 per annum (pro-rata for part time hours)/£12.60 per hour
  • Hours: 27.50 hours per week
  • Location: Middleton Arena
What will my role be as a Fitness Coach?

The purpose of the job is to provide a professional, efficient and high quality service to customers of Your Trust. This includes lifeguarding and poolside supervision, preparation, moving and dismantling of equipment, housekeeping and supporting with functions and events. You will also attend ongoing training to maintain NPLQ qualification and to achieve.

What do I need to have?
  • Hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor or equivalent qualification
  • Experience of dealing with customers and working in a gym environment
  • Hold Emergency First Aid or demonstrate commitment and ability to achieve within 3-6 months
  • Recognised Group Exercise Class Qualification or demonstrate commitment and ability to achieve within 3-6 months
  • Friendly, outgoing person who likes to work with different clients
  • Confidence and ability to teach high quality group exercise classes
  • Ability to work within a team with common objectives
  • Excellent communication; both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills
