Salary: £32 ,000 – £36,000 per annum + benefits

Role Summary
  • As a Fire Door Installer / Carpenter, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining fire safety integrity across a range of sites. Your work will include:
  • Installing fire door sets to manufacturer and certification specifications.
  • Removing existing doors and frames with care to protect client property.
  • Conducting inspections, identifying defects, and preparing detailed remedial reports.
  • Occasionally constructing and installing fire-rated enclosures, access panels, or meter cupboards.
  • Representing Firerite with professionalism and pride, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
  • Complete installation of fire door sets, including frames, seals, architraves, and firestopping.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements to existing fire doors and associated components.
  • Use tools, materials, and equipment efficiently, ensuring minimal waste.
  • Deliver top-quality workmanship with a strong focus on compliance, detail, and safety.
  • Proactively maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all site safety protocols.
  • Accurately document all work using our company app (training and phone provided).
  • Attend training sessions to stay current with regulations and maintain competency.
  • Excellent timekeeping is essential for this role.
Qualifications & Experience
  • NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • CSCS card.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to undertake a DBS (CRB) check.
  • Previous experience fitting and maintaining fire doors in residential or commercial settings.
  • Knowledge of British Standards related to fire doors
  • NVQ in Passive Fire Protection.
  • FIRAS certification.
