Role Overview

The Fire Damper Engineer will travel regionally across the UK to carry out testing, maintenance and installation of fire and smoke dampers. This is a field‑based full‑time role responsible for adherence to current standards, building professional relationships with clients, and reporting all work via EDSB’s platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle tools of various types, including heavy equipment, and ensure safe set‑up.
  • Perform physical activities including testing, maintenance and installation of fire and smoke damper systems.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines on the job site.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in clean, good‑repair condition.
  • Remove debris and waste from sites.
  • Ensure all specifications are met, including industry best practice, manufacturers’ literature and standard product details.
  • Accurately report all works using EDSB’s reporting platform.

Working Hours & Compensation

08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch break. Salary will be discussed at interview stage.

Background Checks

Successful candidates will be required to undergo BS7858 Employment Screening and an Enhanced DBS check.
