Financial Analyst – Sales Compensation – Peterborough, UK
As a Financial Analyst in our Peterborough, UK office, you will play a key role supporting the FP&A Senior Manager in creating a methodical approach for optimizing operational business processes to enhance efficiency, and perform daily tasks according to established guidelines to ensure invoicing and billing reflects correct transactions.
Responsibilities
- Calculate sales compensation commissions and hedging adjustments.
- Analyze accounts and reports, investigate discrepancies, validate calculations against compensation plan rules, and provide decision‑making insights.
- Carry out monthly accruals and reconciliations.
- Participate in process improvement projects, ensuring effective accounting operations and compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal reviews.
- Maintain dashboards and management information, retrieving and consolidating large data sets.
- Assist the Senior Manager in collaborating with stakeholders to develop standardized team processes.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills.
- 4‑5 years of experience in accounting or FP&A.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (modeling, advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.).
- Experience with sales compensation calculations and hedging adjustments is an advantage.
- Good communication and consultation skills, written and verbal in English.
- Familiarity with accounting standards and a degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Experience in change management or successfully working in a changing environment.
- Hands‑on proficiency with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake) is an advantage.
- Experience in the EU/Global payments industry is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, rigorous, organized and disciplined.
- Excels in a team environment with geographically distributed teams.
