The Role

We’re now looking for a Financial Accounting Manager to join our Group Finance team at Head Office – a pivotal role offering exposure to senior finance leaders and the opportunity to shape key processes within a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation.

Principle Accountabilities
  • Deliver operational treasury accounting and reporting, working closely with senior accounting colleagues and external auditors to agree on areas of judgement.
  • Maintain and develop treasury accounting processes and policies, supporting the finance community in applying relevant accounting standards and interpreting policy changes.
  • Provide ad-hoc treasury analysis, including assessing the impact of changes to corporate structure, loan arrangements, financial instruments, and hedging strategies.
  • Support senior management with technical and judgemental accounting matters, including preparing treasury-related technical papers for Audit Committee pre-reads.
  • Conduct regular reviews of balance sheet and income statements, prepare reconciliations of key accounts, and administer intragroup loan changes in collaboration with internal finance teams.
  • Assist in strengthening financial controls by developing and maintaining documentation standards within the treasury accounting function.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Qualified financial accountant with strong technical knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting.
  • Ability to understand financial instrument valuations, foreign exchange and interest rate risk, and associated accounting processes; prior treasury or financial services experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Skilled in period-end close processes within a Group context, with excellent organisational and project management abilities to prioritise tasks and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and managing multiple linked spreadsheets; strong attention to detail and understanding of financial controls.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues clearly to varied audiences; committed to continuous improvement and challenging norms.
  • Flexible team player with drive and enthusiasm to deliver results, ensuring collaboration and success under fixed deadlines.
