Overview

Our client, a well established family run business within the joinery design space, is looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their small, friendly team based at their offices in Reading. They have a strong reputation for being very professional and easy to work with. Their Finance Director is looking for someone who loves numbers to come and assist him from a Finance Admin capacity, with a view to progressing into Financial Controller.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the timely input of project data (particularly Timesheet records)
  • Support with timely (eventually live) internal project reporting – costs vs budget and forecasting
  • Oversee accounts payable ledger (including subcontractors) and draft timely payment runs
  • Order processing and client invoicing/debt chasing
  • Support with scaling the process(es) and systems in the department to support business growth
  • Provide reporting to aid wider-business forecasting (GBS)
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Work closely with senior management to support strategic planning and growth

Benefits
  • 07:30-16:30 Monday–Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (flexible on hours)
  • £30,000 - £40,000 basic salary plus Profit Share Scheme
