You will gain exposure across all levels of the business through responsibilities such as understanding sub-ledger processes, preparing monthly reports, and collaborating closely with both finance and non-finance teams. Your role will involve
  • Monitoring performance against budgets, tracking both cost and revenue lines to highlight variances and provide 鲜analysis and Reporting Packs for month end.
  • Processing manual journals to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Preparing functional budgets and conducting in‑depth analysis of financial data to provide insight to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Supporting the execution of core R2R financial processes and accounting policies, ensuring consistency and clarity across the organisation to deliver robust and compliant financial and management reporting.
  • Continuously supporting the refinement and enhancement of existing processes, challenging outputs to deliver relevant, value‑adding analysis for business use.
  • Maintaining communications with key customers and business areas and continuously nurturing relationships to ensure the centre of excellence is maintained and continues to provide a value‑add service to the business.
  • Supporting the Team Manager in development culture, through development and coaching of key team members.
These skills are essential
  • Experience in budget preparation.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Data analysis and insight using up‑to‑date technology.
  • Accounting knowledge, i.e. key accounting principles.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated and flexible team player, also comfortable working on own initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, evidenced through communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • Full or part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA$url or other where applicable).
  • Experience of working with Oracle Fusion.

Working location

Your contractual place of work will be the Heathrow Business Services Centre in Glasgow, so you’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance.

We also have some hybrid roles that offer colleagues the opportunity to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing flexibility to work in an agile way while ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
