If you’re a practical Field Service Engineer with a solid electrical or electronic background, this role gives you the chance to support specialist military training systems across key UK sites. You’ll work hands‑on with the equipment, keep it running safely, and be the person instructors rely on when training is underway.

What The Field Service Engineer Will Be Doing
  • Providing day‑to‑day technical support for gunnery training systems at Tidworth and Lulworth.
  • Assisting instructors and users during training sessions and ensuring the kit is operating safely.
  • Travelling to additional UK sites for scheduled maintenance, call‑outs, and system checks.
  • Completing clear and accurate maintenance reports, service logs, and associated paperwork.
  • Working safely, following established procedures, and keeping a tidy approach to the job.
What You’ll Need As a Field Service Engineer
  • A recognised electrical/electronic qualification or evidence of being a suitably qualified and experienced engineer.
  • Strong electro‑mechanical fault‑finding skills.
  • Confidence with Word, Excel, and producing straightforward technical reports.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (essential).
  • Ex‑military experience such as Gunner Mechanic, Electrical Mechanic or REME Gun Fitter is useful but not essential.
