Description

Advance your sales career with LOCALiQ. Ready to take your sales career to the next level? Join LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, as a Field Sales Executive and become a key player in helping local businesses grow through powerful, results-driven advertising solutions.

This is a field‑based, consultative sales role where you’ll be booking meetings across the wider Fermanagh and South Tyrone region, working with business owners and decision‑makers face‑to‑face. We are looking for someone who is digitally focused and understands the benefits of social media and display advertising. You’ll represent some of the region’s most trusted local news brands such as the Impartial Reporter and offer a cutting‑edge mix of digital display and print products, tailored to each client’s goals. From first contact to closing the deals, you’ll be building strong relationships and delivering solutions that make a real impact.

This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the move, visiting clients in their working environments, gaining real insight into their businesses, and showing them how LOCALiQ can help them thrive. To succeed in this role, you must be based within or near the territory, hold a full UK driving licence, and have access to your own vehicle for work‑related travel. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday during office hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and win new business by proactively reaching out to potential clients across your region using cold calling and outbound sales techniques.
  • Work to clear financial targets and KPIs, consistently striving to exceed monthly revenue goals and performance benchmarks.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts, providing ongoing support, identifying upsell opportunities, and increasing client spend through strategic recommendations.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline, using a consultative approach to move prospects through the sales cycle.
  • Build long‑term relationships with clients by providing expert advice, excellent service, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and campaign delivery for new clients.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and LOCALiQ’s evolving product suite to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent LOCALiQ with professionalism and credibility, acting as a trusted ambassador for our regional news brands.

  • Confident in securing new business over the phone – You know how to build rapport quickly, handle objections, and close deals remotely.

  • Delivers exceptional customer service – You go above and beyond to ensure clients feel supported, understood, and valued at every stage of the journey.
  • Understanding of multimedia advertising (advantageous) – You’re familiar with digital and print advertising formats and how they can work together to drive results.
  • Consultative, client‑focused approach to selling – You listen first, ask the right questions, and tailor your recommendations to meet each client’s unique needs.
