Field Ops Manager – FWA Build

Job Type

Full-Time (40 hours per week) (Hybrid)

Job Summary

The Field Ops Manager will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, construction, and integration of new Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) infrastructure in the field. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. The Field Manager will coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal teams to execute FWA build activities, from site preparation to commissioning.

Responsibilities
Project Execution
  • Manage day-to-day build activities for FWA network deployment, including site preparation, tower construction, equipment installation, and Integration.
  • Oversee multiple build crews and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely and to standards.
  • Track project progress, resolve field issues, and elevate as necessary.
Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all builds comply with engineering design, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to validate workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate build documentation and as-built records.
Coordination & Communication
  • Act as the primary point of contact for field activities within assigned geography.
  • Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and network operations teams to align build schedules and priorities.
  • Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Supervise contractor performance, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Manage field resources effectively, balancing workloads across multiple projects.
  • Support procurement of materials, tools, and equipment required for build execution.
Health, Safety & Environment
  • Promote a culture of safety and enforce compliance with HSE standards.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident investigations as required.
Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, permitting, and site acquisition processes.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in field operations, including carrying out risk assessments and completing method statements.
